‘Underground’ hits the streets

Sire 7 sires its first flick

Newly formed indie production company Sire 7 has wrapped its first film, “Venice Underground.”

Pic follows a gang of police cadets selected by the DEA to bust narcotics peddlers at Venice Beach. When a gang turf war leads to the death of one of the unit members, the team has 48 hours to solve the case or be suspended.

Edward Furlong, Eric Mabius and Jodi Lynn O’Keefe star.

“Venice Underground” was shot on location in Venice Beach, Santa Monica and Malibu. Sire 7 was formed by Kelly Rodriques and helmer Eric DelaBarre.

“Venice Underground” will unspool at the American Film Market in Santa Monica in November.
