Sunset reaches Peak pact

Indie label beckons group with 'Cattle Call'

NEW YORK — Peak Entertainment Group has pacted with fellow indie label Sunset Pictures to collaborate on development of film and soundtrack properties, including the upcoming “National Lampoon’s Cattle Call.”

For “Cattle,” being produced by Sunset and starring Patrick Dempsey and Jenny McCarthy, Peak will supply musical content for the film and its soundtrack. Peak also will bid for DVD and CD domestic distribution.

In addition, strategic alliance will extend to the feature “Swing,” starring Jacqueline Bisset and Tom Skerritt, with Peak handling DVD and CD rights.

On Sunset’s production “Live to Ride,” starring William Forsythe, Peak is producing the soundtrack and handling DVD and CD distribution.

Said Martin Guigui, Sunset president: “Peak’s approach to the entertainment industry is fresh, practical and smart. We are excited about the relationship that has evolved. I am thrilled about our partnership and look forward to the collaboration in bringing these and future projects to fruition.”
