ShoWest to fete Garner

'Alias' thesp is named female star of tomorrow

Jennifer Garner, star of the upcoming Sony/Revolution romancer “13 Going on 30” opposite Mark Ruffalo, will be honored at ShoWest 2004 as the female star of tomorrow.

Garner, best known for her television work on ABC’s “Alias,” will be feted at an awards gala set to close the annual trade show for exhibs and distribs March 25. ShoWest opens March 22 at the Paris and Bally’s hotels in Las Vegas.

Garner’s film credits include “Pearl Harbor” and “Daredevil,” as well as “Catch Me if You Can,” “Dude Where’s My Car?,” “Mr. Magoo,” “Deconstructing Harry,” “1999” and “Washington Square.”

The ShoWest 2003 female star of tomorrow was Alison Lohman (“Matchstick Men”).
