Sharrocks ankles WB

Exec to exit post this summer to join ad consulting firm

HOLLYWOOD — Nigel Sharrocks, managing director U.K. & Ireland for Warner Bros. Pictures Intl., will be leaving the company to return to his roots in the advertising/media-buying industry in the U.K. to be chief executive of media buying group Aegis Media.

Sharrocks is expected to exit his post this summer to join ad consulting firm Aegis.

Warner Bros. has not yet found a replacement for him.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. U.K. operations will continue to be overseen by Josh Berger, managing director of Warner Bros. Entertainment U.K. aSharrocks’ team of Mick Boyce, Ashley Wirasinha, Jayne Trotman and Andy Douglas also remain.

Sharrocks, previously managing director of Grey Advertising, joined the studio in 1999 to replace the long-serving Maj-Britt Kirchner. Grey was Warner’s U.K. ad agency and Sharrocks oversaw the Warner account.
