All sessions open to the public and will run Feb. 13-17

LONDON — Ridley Scott, French director Catherine Breillat and a host of Oscar winners will top the bill at next year’s Talent Campus, the Berlin Film Festival’s school that gathers 500 young filmmakers from 89 countries.

Scott will attend a session on production design with daughter Jordan Scott and Dante Ferretti, the production designer on “The Aviator” and “Gangs of New York.” Jordan Scott’s short “Thunder Perfect Mind,” which was co-directed by her father, will screen at the event.

Breillat, whose films have repeatedly attracted censors’ attentions, will give a tutorial on directing sex scenes. Breillat’s most recent pic, “Anatomy of Hell,” opens with a shot of male-on-male fellatio. A third session will provide an insight into the way cinematography, production design and costume design work together. It will be led by cinematographer Christopher Doyle (“Hero”), costume designer Emi Wada (“House of Flying Daggers”) and production designer Anna Asp (“Fanny and Alexander”).

Production designer Stuart Craig, who won Oscars for “The English Patient,” “Dangerous Liaisons” and “Gandhi,” will talk about how he created the world of Harry Potter.

All sessions will be open to the public and will run Feb. 13-17 at Berlin’s House of World Cultures.
