LONDON — Aline Perry will ankle as chief exec of London-based sales company the Works this summer.
Perry, a former prexy of Polygram Film Intl., has headed the Works for three years, supervising sales for pics including “Bend It Like Beckham” and “Whale Rider.”
She is leaving “to pursue an independent career in the industry,” according to a press release from Civilian Content, parent of the Works.
“My departure couldn’t be more amicable and I am looking forward to continuing the strong relationships that have been fostered with filmmakers, distributors and valued colleagues,” Perry said.
Civilian has appointed Thierry Wase-Bailey, former managing director of sales outfit Hanway Films, as a consultant to the board on its financing and sales activity.
Wase-Bailey will continue to operate his Entco banner, but will be based at Civilian’s offices.
