Oscar Watch: Tom Hanks

Thesp makes 11th appearance on kudocast

Tom Hanks has been tapped as a presenter for the 76th Academy Awards.

This marks the 11th time Hanks, who also is a governor of the Academy, has presented.

Hanks won consecutive best actor Oscars in 1993 and 1994 for “Philadelphia” and “Forrest Gump,” respectively, and has also been nommed for “Big,” “Saving Private Ryan” and “Cast Away.” He will be seen next in Touchstone’s “Lady Killers.”

Oscarcast, produced this year by Joe Roth, is skedded for Feb. 29 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood.
