Gordon doing double duty with new role

The Motion Picture Assn. of America has promoted Marilyn Gordon to senior VP of administration.

Gordon will continue to oversee the day-to-day administration of the MPAA Encino office, including the oversight of all personnel issues and support services for the office.

Gordon will also maintain her dual title of director of advertising administration where she is responsible for the approval of all advertising and publicity for rated motion pictures, prior to their theatrical releases.

Gordon began her tenure with the MPAA in 1985. In 1988, she was promoted to associate director-advertising administration. Gordon became director of office administration in 1993, followed by a promotion in 1995 to assistant VP and another in 1997 to VP of administration.
