Producers, writers, directors, studio exex to be feted

The winners of the 12th annual Movieguide Awards will be honored March 24 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire.

Movieguide honors the producers, writers, directors and studio execs whose films reflect positive social and spiritual values as well as artistic and cinematic craftsmanship.

Top 10 films for a family audience are “Cheaper by the Dozen,” “Finding Nemo,” “Peter Pan,” “Piglet’s Big Movie,” “Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl,” “Secondhand Lions,” “Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas,” “Spellbound,” “Spy Kids 3D: Game Over” and “The Gospel of John.”

The top 10 films for mature audiences are “Gods and Generals,” “In America,” “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” “Luther,” “Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World,” “Matchstick Men,” “The Matrix Revolutions,” “Seabiscuit” and “Tears of the Sun.”

The winners of the two $25,000 Epiphany Prizes, one for film and one for television, also will be announced at the gala.
