Producer feted by journalist org

New Regency founder Arnon Milchan will receive the 2004 Mary Pickford Award for his artistic contributions to the industry during the Intl. Press Academy’s eighth annual Satellite Awards, Feb. 21 at the St. Regis Hotel in Los Angeles.

In his 20-plus years in the industry, Milchan has produced more than 70 pics including “L.A. Confidential,” “Pretty Woman,” “Fight Club,” “Unfaithful” and “Runaway Jury.”

Among Milchan’s upcoming projects are Tony Scott’s “Man on Fire,” starring Denzel Washington, Christopher Walken and Dakota Fanning, and the Katie Holmes starrer “First Daughter,” helmed by Forest Whitaker.

The IPA, which has more than 200 domestic and foreign journalists as members, has previously feted Robert Evans and Karl Malden with the Pickford nod.
