Hyde foresees thriller

Company to co-finance Shankman-directed pic

Hyde Park Entertainment is reteaming with its “Bringing Down the House” helmer Adam Shankman on Bill Kelly’s thriller “Premonition.”

Hyde Park will co-finance the pic, which revolves around a Midwest housewife whose husband dies in a car crash — only to appear alive the next day.

Hyde Park chairman-CEO Ashok Amritraj will produce with president Jon Jashni. Also producing is Offspring Entertainment partners Jennifer Gibgot and Shankman as well as Kelly’s producing partner, Sunil Perkash.

Shankman is in pre-production on “The Pacifier,” starring Vin Diesel, for Disney and Spyglass Entertainment. He’s also attached to direct Disney’s “Enchanted,” written by Kelly.

Hyde Park has three pics slated for release this year. MGM’s “Walking Tall” bows April 9, with two Disney pics to follow: Kate Hudson starrer “Raising Helen” on May 26 and “Shopgirl,” starring Steve Martin, in November.

Kelly wrote the 1999 New Line Cinema release “Blast From the Past.” Shankman and Kelly are repped by UTA.
