Ryan Gosling, star of upcoming Paramount Classics drama “The United States of Leland,” has been named male star of tomorrow for ShoWest 2004.
“In his short career to date, Ryan Gosling has delivered one tremendous performance after another and is well on his way to establishing himself as an acting force to be reckoned with,” said Mitch Neuhauser, co-managing director of ShoWest.
Gosling first gained bigscreen notice for his performance opposite Sandra Bullock in 2002’s “Murder by Numbers.”
Other film credits include 2002 releases — “The Believer” and “The Slaughter Rule” — and “Remember the Titans” (2000). Gosling also will be seen in upcoming lit adaptation “The Notebook.”
Last year’s male star of tomorrow honoree at ShoWest was LL Cool J.
