Goldwyn taps acquisitions exec

Exec is responsible for negotiating pre-buys

Peter Goldwyn has been promoted to director of acquisitions for Samuel Goldwyn Films.

He will be responsible for negotiating pre-buys and bringing completed projects to the company from the L.A. office.

He will report to Tom Quinn, VP of acquisitions.

Goldwyn joined Samuel Goldwyn as an assistant in 2002.

He has been involved in the acquisitions of “Japanese Story,” “Raising Victor Vargas” and “El Crimen del Padre Amaro.” Latter was nominated for a foreign-language film Oscar last year.
