Doc ‘Architect’ goes Gaga for Japan

Oscar-nommed pic builds int'l sales

“My Architect,” Nathaniel Kahn’s feature documentary about his father, architect Louis I. Kahn, has sold to Gaga in Japan, to Academy Films in Austria and Germany and to Film Sans Frontiers in France.

The Film Sales Company brokered the deals and is in negotiation with a number of other territories including Spain, Netherlands, Turkey, Scandinavia, Taiwan and Italy.

The doc, which won the DGA documentary award, previously sold to Mongrel Media in Canada, Tartan Films in the U.K. and Hopscotch in Australia. It has grossed more than $2.3 million in the U.S.
