Film picked up for South Korea, Scandinavia

Edward Noeltner’s new sales and financing company, Cinema Management Group, has concluded more deals on its widely selling, 3-D family film “Hoodwinked: The True Story of Red Riding Hood.”

A revisionist take on the fairy tale, which questions Little Red Riding Hood’s status as an innocent, has been acquired by Showbox for South Korea and Sandrews Metronome for Scandinavia.

Skifan has taken Iceland, Monolith has Poland, Blitz the former Yugoslavia and Le Film de l’Elysee took Belgium.

Noeltner had previously announced Cannes deals for France (Bac), Spain (Manga), Russia, Greece, Portugal, Israel and the Middle East.

CMG also has taken on financing and sales duties on the $20 million upscale biopic “The Peace Warrior,” about the late Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin.

Film is being written by Academy Award-winning screenwriter John Briley (“Gandhi,” “Cry Freedom”).

Guy Vidal and Tharsi Vanhuysse take executive producer credits. Pic is produced by Kenneth Bowser and Johnny Boston. Marilyn G. Haft acts as producer and legal counsel.
