Local helmer Morten Tyldum’s feature debut, “Buddy,” received three noms for the Norwegian Film Institute’s Amanda film awards Tuesday.
“Buddy” was nominated for feature, actor (Anders Baasmo Christensen) and original screenplay, a new category (Lars Gudmestad).
Hans Petter Moland’s “The Beautiful Country” and Lars Goran Pettersson’s “Bazo,” each earned two noms.
Hollywood pictures dominate nominees in the foreign feature category, including “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King,” “Finding Nemo,” “Kill Bill Vol 2” and “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.”
Honors will be given out at an NRK-televised ceremony on Aug 27, during the Norwegian Intl. Film Festival in Haugesund.
