Bavaria drinks ‘Whisky’

German sales company Bavaria Film Intl. has taken worldwide sales rights outside Spain, Uruguay, Argentina, Chile and Germany to “Whisky,” which will play in Un Certain Regard at next week’s Cannes Film Festival.

Written and directed by Uruguayans Pablo Rebella and Pablo Stoll, “Whisky” turns on a feud between two elderly brothers.

Based on a screenplay that won a Sundance/NHK Intl. Filmmakers Award in 2002, pic is co-produced by Spain’s Wanda Vision, Uruguay’s Control Zeta Films and Argentina’s Rizoma Films.
