HOLLYWOOD — U.S. Latino marketing, talent management and distribution company Arenas Entertainment is widening its core business to include distribution and marketing services for indie producers and distribs.
According to Arenas distribution prexy Larry Gleason, the company plans to offer a “one-stop rent-a-system” by providing services in all areas of marketing, including publicity, promotion, media and creative, as well as full-service distribution services, including booking, billing, collecting and selection of dates.
“Certain economic factors within the industry, including consolidation, have resulted in the creation of a void for services, and Arenas is poised and ready to fill it,” said Gleason, a veteran distrib exec who was prexy of worldwide theatrical distribution at MGM.
“Independent filmmakers do not have automatic access to quality marketing and distribution services that the majors offer,” added Arenas marketing chief Amorette Jones.
Arenas recently distributed Mexican dark comedy “Nicotina” in the U.S. Starring Diego Luna (“Terminal”), pic has grossed more than $1.1 million domestically
