More than 300 films will screen at this year’s Nordic Panorama Five Cities Film Festival, the largest showcase for shorts and documentaries in the region, which unspools Sept 24.-28 in Reykjavik, Iceland.
Among 450 submissions, 41 shorts and 23 docs will compete for awards. Some 400 professionals are expected for the event.
HBO’s Julie Anderson and Canadian distributors Jan Rofekamp and Diana Holzberg, of Films Transit, will be key speakers at Bridging the Divide, a seminar-sidebar focusing on the international market for docs.
Last year 60 buyers and fest programmers from 12 countries attended the market, which held 1,200 video screenings.
Some 24 doc projects will be introduced at the Nordic Forum for Co-Financing, which runs Sept. 23-24.
