Universal has decided to take a trip to “The Dream Factory,” buying a comedy pitch by Daniel Robert Cohn for Robert Cort and Scarlett Lacey to produce for Robert Cort Prods.
“We wanted to tap into the fascination people have with their dreams, and explore how the outrageous adventures we experience while we’re asleep might actually change our lives,” said Lacey, who developed “The Dream Factory” with Cohn. Universal exec Megan Gerard and senior VP Holly Bario will oversee the project.
Cohn previously sold the metaphysical comedy “Paper or Plastic” to Constantine and Adam Platnick.
Lacey’s VP of Paramount-based Robert Cort Prods. She was associate producer on “Save the Last Dance” and exec producer on “Against the Ropes.”
