TLA ready to play ‘Blues’

Pic first feature from writer-helmer Bardwell

TLA Releasing has acquired the U.S. theatrical/home entertainment distribution rights to “Dorian Blues” from Day Dreamer Films.

Pic, about a gay teen who struggles to find his place in life, is the first feature from writer-helmer Tennyson Bardwell.

Bardwell garnered several film fest prizes for “Dorian,” including audience kudos at the OutFest Los Angeles for narrative first feature, the Philadelphia Intl. Gay and Lesbian audience prize for a feature film and, most recently, the Torchlight screenwriting award at the Bahamas Film Festival.

Pic is slated for a September release.
