Funnyman gets chance at 'Dance
Funnyman Jay Mohr has signed on to host the Sundance Channel’s “Festival Dailies,” a daily half-hour program to be broadcast from the upcoming Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, Jan. 24-28.
“Dailies” will report on the films and filmmakers making headlines at the fest. Show will wrap with a final one-hour installment Jan. 29 that will include an announcement of the fest’s 2005 award winners.
Robert Katz and Jerry Kupfer are producing the newly launched “Dailies” series, with Adam Pincus exec producing. Anne Mullen is the show’s supervising producer.
Besides “Dailies,” the Sundance net plans on airing in January only programming that has graced Sundance festival screens in years past, from features and docus to shorts and original series.
Fest runs Jan. 20-30.
Mohr’s recent credits include the indie pic “Seeing Other People” and New Line’s upcoming “King’s Ransom,” opposite Anthony Anderson. He was also the host of NBC reality skein “Last Comic Standing.”
