Charles Picerni’s Corner Stone Pictures has set its first feature, “Retirement,” a comedy funded by private investment firm OBX Capital Group.
The shingle is in negotiations with Jack Warden, George Segal, Ossie Davis and Rip Torn to star in the pic, which follows four men who undertake a road trip to stop one’s daughter from marrying the wrong guy.
Billy Burke (“Ladder 49”) has signed for the romantic lead. Picerni will make his feature directing bow.
“Retirement” will begin production in February on location in Florida’s South Beach, New Orleans and Las Vegas.
Michael Pietrzak and Jon Warner wrote the script, which Pietrzak will produce. Michael Lerner is the executive producer.
Based in North Carolina, OBX is overseen by managing partner Dale Scales.
