Brett Ratner is attached to direct an untitled pitch by Lisa Schrager for Columbia Pictures, which Michael De Luca will produce.
Story concerns a female crew in Miami’s organized crime world that devises a plan to take down its boss and thus move up within the family.
Ratner and his Rat Entertainment partner Jay Stern also will produce. Matt Tolmach and Andrea Giannetti are overseeing the pic for the studio.
Schrager is writing “Pay the Girl,” about Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss for Paramount; Betty Thomas is attached to direct. She also wrote “Original Gangsta Bitches,” a pic being developed at Universal for Reese Witherspoon.
“Rush Hour” helmer Ratner is attached to helm another untitled Sony pitch by David Diamond and David Weissman; Neal Moritz is producing. He just wrapped New Line’s “After the Sunset,” starring Pierce Brosnan and Salma Hayek.
