Kohansky to co-produce, o'see project development
Chris and Paul Weitz’s shingle Depth of Field has awarded Kerry Kohansky VP stripes. The three-year veteran of the company is a co-producer on just-wrapped “Synergy,” which Paul Weitz wrote and is directing at Universal Pictures.
“Kerry was invaluable in the development and production of my ‘Synergy’ script,” he said. “I was under the impression she was already a VP.”
Chris Weitz said, “Kerry has proven her judgment, taste and commitment, and we’re glad she’ll be taking a bigger role in the company.”
Both brothers are producing “Synergy,” which stars Dennis Quaid, Topher Grace and Scarlet Johansson and is skedded for a Dec. 29 release.
Kohansky reports to Depth of Field prexy Andrew Miano.
She is co-producing and overseeing development on projects including “My Mother’s Boyfriend” at Bullseye Entertainment, “Last Bachelor Party” at Warner Bros., “Frat Boy” at New Line and “Army Geek” at Fox 2000.
