Picture Production Co., an entertainment marketing shop based in London, has opened an office in Hollywood.
Simon Banner has been tapped prexy of Picture Production Co. Intl., which has opened its doors at 710 Seward St. in Hollywood. He will direct operations between the facility in Hollywood and the company’s London headquarters, reporting to managing director David Willing.
Company creates trailers, TV specials and commercials, promotional reels, DVDs and electronic press kits for clients that include Disney, MGM, Universal and Warner Bros.
“Opening an L.A. branch is the next logical step for PPC, which already has established itself as a creative, reliable partner for many of the major studios,” Willing said.
Picture Production Co. is currently working on marketing materials for Disney’s “King Arthur,” Warner Bros.’ “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” and MGM’s “Be Cool.” It is also creating featurettes for Universal TV’s upcoming DVD releases of the shows “Monk,” “Knight Rider,” “Quantum Leap,” “Sliders” and the “Law & Order” franchise.
Banner helped produce the TV specials “Hogwarts and All: A Glimpse Into the World of Harry Potter” for Warner Bros., “A Closer Look” for DreamWorks’ “American Beauty,” “Cast Away: A Journey With Tom Hanks” for Fox’s “Cast Away” and a documentary on Hollywood’s leading men for AMC.
