Hamm helming Chekov charge

Original concept of 'Sisters' gets twisted

Nick Hamm (“Godsend”) will direct a contempo movie inspired by Anton Chekov’s “Three Sisters,” with backing from Spice Factory, Movision and Arclight.

Titled “Three,” the pic will shoot in the U.K. this summer. It’s set on the Cornish coast.

” ‘Three’ is a ‘what if?’ adaptation,” Hamm said. “In other words, a relationship that was promised in the original is now actualized in the adaptation. It is a modern remolding of the story into a complex cinematic world of family relationships and betrayal.”
