Funds reap ‘Fine’ royalties

Book takes on love-hate relationship of H'wood, B'way

The Motion Picture & Television Fund and the Actors’ Fund of America will receive all the royalties on “A Fine Romance,” an upcoming book being written by MGM exec Darcie Denkert.

Denkert, prexy of MGM’s Entertainment Business Group and MGM On Stage, serves on the board of trustees for the MPTV Fund.

Watson-Guptill Books will publish the book, about the 75-year love-hate relationship between Hollywood and Broadway, in the fall.

At MGM, Denkert has been responsible for licensing and developing the Lion’s 4,000-plus film library for Broadway.
