First Look’s ‘Lyme’ twist

Family pic stars Baldwin, Leigh, Hutton, Nixon, Culkin

First Look Media has acquired worldwide rights outside North America to Derick and Steven Martini’s drama “Lymelife.”

The Martini brothers start shooting their directorial debut May 28.

Alec Baldwin, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Timothy Hutton, Cynthia Nixon and Rory Culkin star in pic about a real estate developer whose hard work helps him move his family from Queens to Long Island to pursue a life of potential wealth and leisure, but discovering the disintegration of his family and his dreams.

Pic is produced by Baldwin and Jon Cornick’s El Dorado Pictures. Cargo Films execs Tom Colitsas, William Baldwin and Warren Kohler will produce. Barbara de Fina will exec produce. Billy Joel will produce the soundtrack.

Pic will be the first produced under Cargo Films’ deal with Comerica Bank and the New Jersey state government via the New Jersey Economic Development Authority.

The Martinis won the new talent award at the Toronto Film Fest. The sibs developed the script through the Sundance Institute Filmmaker and Screenwriter Lab.
