‘Eyes’ to open in Japan

Pic adds Asia to distrib list, Euro, Latin areas covered

Distributor-producer Nikkatsu Corp. has taken all Japanese rights to Iciar Bollain’s Spanish domestic-abuse drama “Take My Eyes.”

Sold by Sogepaq, the pickup reps “Eyes’s” first — and a significant — Asian deal.

“Take My Eyes” was picked up in September by Euro buying partnership Indie Circle for France, Italy, Switzerland, Benelux and the Netherlands.

It has also closed Scandinavia with Noble & Partners and nearly all Latin America through a raft of regional of territory distribs and HBO for pay TV.
