Becker buys Moonlight for $6.2 mil

SYDNEY — Australia’s Becker Group has bought outdoor cinema and screen advertising group Moonlight Projects for A$8.3 million ($6.2 million) in a cash and stock deal.

Moonlight stages outdoor screenings in capital cities and supplies pre-movie ads to 100 screens including Becker’s Dendy circuit, and slide-advertising to more than 250 screens including Village Cinemas.

Moonlight exec directors James Tutton and Mark McCoach will continue to manage the business. Becker said Moonlight would contribute more than $7.5 million in revenue in the 2005 fiscal year.
