‘Diaries’ will open Palestinian fest

Exec hopes event can help cultivate relationships

Walter Salles’ “The Motorcycle Diaries” will be the opening movie of the inaugural Ramallah Intl. Film Festival (June 17-22), the first fest to be held in the Palestinian territory.

Fest director Adam Zuabi said, “Our belief is that establishing an international film festival in Palestine is a tool unlike any other to try, together with our partners, to unlock the stalemate and develop a relationship with the key players around the world who shape the culture of cinema.”
