Former independent producer Dara Cohen has joined Revolution Studios’ New York office as a development and production executive.
In addition, Stephanie Langhoff has been upped to creative exec.
Cohen will be responsible for bringing new projects into the company and overseeing their development and production.
In her new post, Langhoff will now shepherd all of the East Coast office’s television productions, including Warner Bros.’ “American Girl” and telepic “Samantha.”
Langhoff previously worked as an assistant to Revolution Studios partner Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, head of East Coast operations, to whom the two execs report.
“Dara brings a wealth of experience to the table and we look forward to her immediate contributions in overseeing some of our current projects,” Goldsmith-Thomas said. “We are also excited by her wonderful eye in identifying and developing new projects for Revolution Studios.”
Cohen most recently was an independent producer and a development consultant for cabler USA. She exec produced last year’s Sci Fi Channel original movie “Webs.” From 1998-2001, Cohen was director of longform programming for the USA Network. Before that, she served as director of development for Ben Stiller’s Red Hour Prods.
Revolution’s East Coast operation most recently produced the drama “Mona Lisa Smile” and the romantic comedy “Maid in Manhattan.”
