2929 has Nixon’s number

Shingle catches spy thriller '342'

2929 Prods., the film production and financing arm of Todd Wagner and Mark Cuban’s 2929 Entertainment, has acquired tyro scribe Clayton Surratt’s spec “342.”

It’s a spy thriller that centers on a young FBI agent leading the charge to restore the 18½-minute gap on Nixon Tape 342. When he gains control of the tape, he comes under the scrutiny of a veteran “spy catcher” within the FBI.

Wagner and Cuban will produce the project with 2929 production head Marc Butan.

Kent Kubena, the 2929 Prods. executive who brought the project into the company, will oversee the project and serve as co-producer.
