ThinkFilm ups Tuckman to VP

Indie film banner finds new sales topper

NEW YORK — Indie film banner ThinkFilm has upped Michael Tuckman to theatrical sales veep.

With the banner since its 2001 launch, Tucker has worked on developing and implementing theatrical release plans on such titles as “Gerry,” “The Agronomist,” “Spellbound” and “The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys.”

Company’s upcoming releases include Sean Penn starrer “The Assassination of Richard Nixon.”

Tuckman previously served as director of feature distribution for Gotham indie shingle the Cinema Guild, where he handled the acquisition and distribution of such rollouts as “The Interview” and “A Love Divided.”
