Lion lifts marketeer Shikiya to senior veep

Exec takes over former duties of UA prexy Rosett

MGM has upped Steven T. Shikiya to senior vice president of marketing and distribution.

Shikiya will oversee all finance, planning and operational support for the domestic theatrical marketing and distribution for MGM Studios and United Artists.

Shikiya takes over many of the former duties of Danny Rosett, recently named prexy of United Artists.

He reports to MGM chief financial officer Dan Taylor, distribution prexy Erik Lomis and marketing prexy Peter Adee.

Shikiya has been with MGM for three years, serving most recently as VP, finance and corporate development, under Taylor.

Before joining MGM, Shikiya held various management and strategic planning positions with Launch Media, Universal Studios, the Walt Disney Co. and Arthur Andersen.
