Murray revels in ‘Life’ contradictory

'Aquatic' bow brings out the best

Bill Murray‘s contradictory nature readily surfaced at Thursday’s Gotham bow of “The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou.” Though thesp is sometimes similar to his jaded characters — “At any moment I can go melancholy on you; be careful,” he said — he seemed very happy to speak to press. And while the well-traveled Murray said his greatest adventure was a trip to Garajagan, Indonesia, where “there was just no civilization as we know it,” he is still devoted to icons of his hometown — the Chicago Cubs and their star, Sammy Sosa.
