Kudos voted for by previous winners

“Levity,” writer-director Ed Solomon’s religious parable starring Billy Bob Thornton, Morgan Freeman, Kirsten Dunst and Holly Hunter, has won the 11th annual Beatrice Wood Film Award.

Award was named after the celebrated sculptor-artist who was a muse of Marcel Duchamp and inspired the novel “Jules and Jim”; she died in 1998 at 105.

Kudos have previously gone to such filmmakers as David Lynch, James Cameron, Henry Jaglom, Ron Howard, Hubert Cornfield and Thornton. Winner is voted each year by the previous recipients.
