The British Academy of Film & Television Arts/Los Angeles will honor two-time Oscar nominee Helen Mirren with the Britannia Award for Artistic Excellence in International Entertainment at the 2004 Britannia Awards Nov. 4 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
Nod honors Mirren’s “extensive body of work both on stage and screen.”
“She is clearly one of our generation’s most respected artists,” said BAFTA/LA chairman Gary Dartnall.
Mirren stars opposite Robert Redford in the recently released “The Clearing.” She is filming “Shadowboxer” opposite Cuba Gooding Jr.
Thesp recently starred on the London stage in Eugene O’Neill’s “Mourning Becomes Electra.”
