Content provider buys strategic base in Korea
LONDON — Mforma, the US company which claims to be the world’s largest distributor of mobile content, has acquired MobileGame Korea (MoGame), a leading developer and publisher of mobile games in Korea.
MoGame, now Mforma Korea, will provide a strategic base in Asia as well as providing publishing services. It will also aggregate content from hundreds of developers in Korea for Mforma to distribute to wireless carriers in China, Europe and the U.S. The company will also continue to distribute Mforma’s worldwide titles in the Korean market place.
Mforma recently entered a partnership with Universal, to developed wireless games based on classic movies such as “Dracula,” “The Mummy” and “The Creature From the Black Lagoon.
