Interactive Emmy noms announced

'Mole,' 'PitComman Quals,' 'NFL Sunday' among contenders

Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Interactive Peer Group revealed the finalists for the interactive TV emmys on Wednesday.

These are the Area One finalists for programming enhanced with interactive content;

  • “Celebrity Mole: Yucatan” (ABC Enhanced TV & Zetools)

  • “PitComman Quals” (Turner Sports Interactive)

  • “JETIX Cards Live!” (ABC Cable Networks Group)

  • “2004 TV Land Awards” (TV Land)

  • “CSI: Miami Interactive” (CBS)

  • “The View: His & Her Body Test” (ABC Enhanced TV)

  • “NASCAR Ride-Along Video Application” (Turner Sports Interactive)

  • “NFL Sunday Ticket Game Tracker” (DirecTV)

Area Two finalists, for virtual channels that allow viewers to interact and engage with content on their TV screens, are:

  • Showtime Interactive

  • iO Dashboard

  • Mag Rack

These are the Area Three finalists, for interactive TV services that allow viewers to access multiple video, audio, data and interactive applications:

  • Sesame Street Play and Learn Channel (Sesame Workshop)

  • “NFL Sunday Ticket” Enhancements (DirecTV)

  • GSN Interactive (Oceanic Time Warner Cable)

Awards are selected by a jury and will be presented at the 2004 Primetime Emmy Awards on Sept. 12 at the Shrine Auditorium. Jury is allowed to select more than one winner in each category or none at all..
