Cyberbiz Brief

Get ready for a “Project Greenlight” for the gaming world.

America Online and Cartoon Network are teaming up to offer the winning team from the upcoming Independent Games Festival the vidgame equivalent of a development contract.

Competish will take place in late March along with the Game Developers Conference in San Jose. One of 10 finalists will be selected by the two companies to create an original online game starring a character from a Cartoon Network show. The game will be featured on the net’s Web site and on AOL.

The winning team will chronicle the creation of its game via an online weblog featured on the gaming section of AOL, giving readers an inside look at the creation of a videogame.
