Gralnick to develop business initiatives for Peacock
NEW YORK — NBC News tapped veteran news producer Jeff Gralnick to revamp NBC News’ Internet strategy, prexy Neal Shapiro said Wednesday.
Gralnick, who worked 25 years at ABC’s “World News Tonight” and launched ABCNews.com, will develop business initiatives for NBC and brainstorm collaborations with sister cable network MSNBC.
“As our business plan sharpens the focus on growth and new business initiatives, technology and the Internet have become an increasingly important platform for us,” Shapiro said.
Gralnick served as executive producer of NBC’s “Nightly News” from 1993-96 and returned to the Peacock in 2002, serving as a consultant in a variety of areas across NBC News.
