Aud can vote by SMS during ceremony for Best in Show
LONDON — Global trade org the Mobile Entertainment Forum (MEF) has announced the nominations for its inaugural Mobile Entertainment Awards, to be held in London on June 6.
The nods, in three categories, includes entrants such as the games companies Infusion, Digital Bridges and Gameloft and the music specialists Musiwave and Shazam Entertainment.
“The MEF Awards … independently recognize creativity and success,” said Rimma Perelmuter, MEF general secretary. “It will promote the vitality and achievements of this vibrant industry, which can only accelerate the integration of mobile entertainment with other parts of the media sector.”
The judging was carried out by a seven-member panel of specialist journalists, including Daily Variety’s Neil McCartney.
The awards ceremony is a key part of MEF’s 4th annual Mobile Entertainment Market.
