HOLLYWOOD — Warner Bros. has promoted Kevin Fortson to senior VP, operations.
Fortson will work alongside Bob Pincus, the current senior VP of operations, for the next year, after which Pincus will be promoted to senior VP, special projects.
Fortson, who has been a senior production exec for Telepictures Prods. since joining the company in 1993 (he was most recently senior VP of production), will now be charged with overseeing the operational activities for all inhouse and independent television and feature film production on Warner Bros. Studios’ 110-acre lot and adjacent 32-acre ranch facility.
His duties include scheduling for all 34 soundstages and numerous exterior sets as well as audience coordination, stage and backlot maintenance and special projects.
Pincus, a 31-year veteran of Warner Bros. Studios, will spend the next year transitioning Fortson into his new role and then assume his new post reporting to Jon Gilbert, president of Warner Bros. Studio Facilities.
Pincus began working at the studio in studio facilities and has since served in various other capacities, including posts in business affairs, production and operations.
During his 11 years at Telepictures Prods., Fortson has been responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production staffs for network, firstrun syndicated and cable television series, including “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” “The Bachelor” and “Extra.”
