COLOGNE — German kidvidder RTV in the first half year saw revenues drop from E4 million ($4.8 million) to $3 million, after its decision to outsource distribution. The company’s net loss was on par with the first half year 2003, at $1.6 million.RTV recently decided to have most of distribution of its content handled through EM.TV. The cooperation covers all international territories with the exception of Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Portugal, the U.K. and the U.S. The company noted that it has taken legal steps against one co-production partner, which so far has denied its approval for the distribution deal with EM.TV. While not naming the partner, an RTV spokesman said that only 5% of RTV’s production was affected by the quarrel.
