Payoff for ‘Passion people?

Letter to the editor

To the Editor:

I find it interesting that your editorial on March 22 (“Lining Up For a Passion Ration”) was solely in reference to Mel Gibson’s film, “The Passion of the Christ.”

Most of this whole article could have been applied just as easily to “My Big Fat Greek Wedding.” The money that came from “Wedding” was just as surprising to everyone as this current flood of dollars.

Why didn’t you write to the creatives about sharing their wealth with the cast and crew on that project? I’m sure there hasn’t been any compensation after the fact.

What really hurts is no one even gave it a moment’s thought nor does anyone feel the slightest bit of guilt for not thinking about it.
