GOP sought for ‘Knot’ screening

Pic looks at current laws concerning lesbian, gay partnerships

Roadside Attractions will hold a special screening of gay marriage doc “Tying the Knot” for delegates of the Republic National Convention.

Roadside has partnered with Ed Koch, chairman of the volunteer committee for the RNC, as well as such liberal orgs as PFLAG and Marriage Equality to recruit delegates.

Jim de Seve’s pic follows a lesbian’s battle for her slain spouse’s pension and a gay rancher’s fight to keep his home after his companion dies.

Both stories take a look at the current laws and legislation concerning lesbian and gay partnerships.

Screening will be held at Magno Screening Room on Aug. 31.

Roadside will release “Tying the Knot” on Oct 1.
