Atari revs down 12%

With sales for “Enter the Matrix” petering out and no other hit to take its place, vidgame publisher Atari saw net revenue fall 12% in the fiscal year ended in March to $468.9 million.

Net income was virtually zero excluding a shareholder dividend compared with $38.6 million in net income in fiscal 2003.

Fourth quarter performance was also down, with a 21% decline in net revenue to $66.4 million and a 36% increase in net loss to $17.3 million.

Atari stock closed down 2.6% at $3 before it reported earnings Thursday.
