Actress claimed breach of contract, fraud in aborted prod'n
Diane Lane and Intermedia have reached an out-of-court settlement in a lawsuit the actress filed last July in Los Angeles Superior Court.
No details were revealed in the settlement.
The actress claimed breach of contract, misrepresentation and fraud in association with an aborted Intermedia production, “Me Again.”
Her agency, Endeavor, announced that it would blackball Intermedia until Lane was paid nearly $2.7 million allegedly owed to her under a pay-or-play deal.
Lane’s lawsuit claimed that the production and financing company was unable to come up with the funding for “Me Again.” Lane was to receive $3.5 million and star opposite Bruce Willis in the thriller.
Project was to begin production in May 2003 and wrap by August, but Willis dropped out that spring and was not replaced.
Rights to “Me Again” have since reverted to the film’s producer, Beryl Vertue.
